Dias Asanov Becomes CEO at Siemens Kazakhstan

Former General Counsel Russia / Eastern Europe / Central Asia for Siemens Energy Dias Asanov has been appointed to Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Kazakhstan.

Asanov has been with Siemens Energy since April 2020. Prior to that, he was with Siemens, which he had worked for since October 2009 when he joined as General Counsel and Regional Compliance Officer in Almaty. In 2012, he moved to Moscow to take on the role of Regional Compliance Officer within the company. In 2015, he relocated again to Germany to serve as a Project Operations Officer and then returned to Russia to take on the role of General Counsel Russia, Belarus & Central Asia. Before Siemens, he was a Regional Contract Manager with Smith Services, a Schlumberger Company in Almaty.

Asanov has also served as the CEO of the joint venture between Kazakhstan National Railway company and Siemens AG – Temir Zhol Electrification – between April 2011 and January 2012.
